Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office II through the LISTAHANAN unit exerts all efforts in encouraging stakeholders and partner agencies to sign up in a Memorandum of Agreement for the utilization of LISTAHANAN database.

“We are giving all our efforts in promoting our database to the providers of social protection programs. The database can be used in identifying deserving beneficiaries for their respective programs so that the real poor who in need of services are catered to” Delia S. Sto. Tomas, Deputy Regional Project Manager, LISTAHANAN said.

Presently, there are 89.80% LGUs that use the LISTAHANAN database for the poverty alleviation programs.

The said database is used specifically food for work, cash for work, self-employment assistance, aid in crisis situations, emergency food assistance, disaster relief, supplementary feeding, day care service, educational assistance, special program for employment of students, special services for the elderly, special services for disabled and pre-marriage counselling and a lot more.

The LISTAHANAN staff will conduct a consultation workshop for data users next month. Data users are expected to share their experiences and testimonies which can encourage non data users to engage in MOA with DSWD.

LISTAHANAN is an information management system that identifies who and where the real poor are. The Database provides comprehensive information of the poor household nationwide.#Ailyn P. Aglaua, Admin. Assistant III, Listahanan
