OIC Lucia S. Alan, together with members of the Management of DSWD Field Office 02, faces the media and shares updates on the implementation of ESCAP to ‘Lawin’ affected families.

To provide the public with the latest information on the implementation of Emergency Shelter Assistance Program (ESCAP) to Typhoon Lawin affected families in the region, DSWD Field Office 02 called on media practitioners in the region on November 6, 2017 for a press conference.

In its report, there are about 121,151 eligible beneficiaries based on the assessment conducted by the DSWD staff together with Local Government Units.

As of this report, 97.53% or 118,164 beneficiaries received their assistance amounting to Php1,257,870,000.00 with the remaining  2.47% being distributed and is set to be fully implemented  until November 15, 2017.

Likewise, it addressed the concerns of the public particularly those who were not included in its roster of beneficiaries.

“We continuously receive grievance relative to this assessment, that’s why we submitted a request to DSWD Central Office for a possible additional budget so we can cater to more beneficiaries,” Officer-in-Charge Lucis S. Alan informed the media.
