The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) kicked off its first-ever visit to the coastal municipality of Dinapigue in the province of Isabela, dubbed as “Visita Munisipyo”, on February 2, 2023.
The said coastal visit was done to bring the maagap at mapagkalingang serbisyo to the remotest area in Cagayan Valley closer to the people as the DSWD FO2 remained committed to providing compassionate public service to poor and marginalized Filipinos under its mantra, “Bawat Buhay Mahalaga.”
The highlights of the visit were the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) graduation and special validation of Set 12 beneficiaries; awarding of certificate of accreditation to Child Development Centers (CDC) and workers; and monitoring visit to Day Care Center, Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP), Food-for-Work Program, and Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPA).
Moreover, the office conducted Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) distribution of cash cards; Social Pension Program (SocPen) payout wherein the said program got 100% paid beneficiaries for this semester with a total disbursement of P972,000; and Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) payout in which 127 from 129 clients received medical and educational assistance with a total allocation of P408,500.
True to its journey towards excellence, the Department will continue to sustain the provision of quality social welfare and development services that are easily accessible to poor, disadvantaged, and marginalized Filipinos in the region.
