QUEZON, NUEVA VIZCAYA — The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Quezon awarded ₱500,000 in capital assistance to the 4Ps Alliance Livelihood Association during the graduation ceremony of 85 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) held in Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya on October 30, 2025.
The amount will serve as start-up capital for the group’s portable gas station project, an income-generating initiative formed by the newly graduated 4Ps beneficiaries.
Mayor Anabelle Binwag said the assistance is part of the LGU’s continuing support to help 4Ps graduates sustain their progress and establish independent sources of livelihood.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was also signed between the LGU of Quezon and the 4Ps Alliance Livelihood Association to formalize the partnership for project implementation and management.
During the event, Larissa Garcia, a 4Ps beneficiary who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management, delivered a message on behalf of the graduates.
Garcia thanked the 4Ps program and the LGU for their assistance and shared how government support helped her family overcome financial challenges.
She also mentioned that through various scholarships and part-time jobs, she was able to continue her education until she graduated with honors.
The LGU of Quezon said it will continue to collaborate with DSWD and community associations to strengthen livelihood programs for families who have graduated from the 4Ps, ensuring their continued progress toward self-sufficiency.
