ISABELA – In show of support to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries who officially exited from the program, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Benito Soliven provided post-service assistance to 200 households amounting to P2,000 per family, during the ceremonial graduation held on October 28, 2025.
The ceremony dubbed as Pamadayaw na Paggradua na Pantawid Pamilya also recognized 11 college graduates, four (4) of whom are already employed in the LGU serving as LGU links.
One of the graduates, Marife Diamsay, now a licensed professional teacher, shared her journey from being a program beneficiary to fulfilling her professional dreams.
“Bilang isang board passer, isa na akong living testimony na ang 4Ps ay hindi basta programa—ito ay isang life changer. At bilang pagbabalik ng pagmamahal, ako na ngayon ang magiging instrumento upang mangarap at magsilbi sa mga batang katulad ko noon. Masaya po kami na kami na po ay exited na sa 4Ps dahil sobrang natulungan at nabago niyo po ang buhay namin,” Diamsay said.
Moved by her speech, Mayor John Paul Azur immediately hired her on the spot as a job order employee, demonstrating the LGU’s commitment to creating employment and livelihood opportunities for graduates.
In addition, Mayor Azur recommended to the Sangguniang Bayan the issuance of an executive order institutionalizing post-service interventions for all exiting 4Ps households, including the provision of additional livelihood assistance to ensure that beneficiaries continue to receive support in their journey toward sustaining their self-sufficiency.
