TUGUEGARAO CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) convened the members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Regional Advisory Council (RAC) for its 2nd Semester Meeting on November 24, 2025 at NGN Hotel.
The meeting centered on the revisiting of the Regional Convergence Plan, where member agencies presented their accomplishments vis-à-vis their targets and commitments.
Discussions focused on ensuring that convergence efforts remain aligned and responsive in addressing Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI) gaps among beneficiaries and issues and concerns such as Children and Youth Not Attending School (CYNAS).
RAC Chair and DSWD Regional Director Lucia Suyu Alan also reported that the Regional Development Council has adopted Resolution No. 02-64, Series of 2025, titled “Encouraging Agency Regional Offices (AROs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), Local Government Units (LGUs), and other Government Instrumentalities to Consider Hiring Qualified Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Beneficiaries for Government Internship, Job Order, or Contract of Service Positions.”
Adopted during the 136th RDC Council Meeting on August 29, 2025, the resolution strengthens opportunities for 4Ps beneficiaries to be considered in government job applications to help boost their socio-economic conditions and enabling them to progress toward a self-sufficient level of well-being.
Representatives from partner agencies also took part in the meeting, including the National Nutrition Council (NNC), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Rural Action for People’s Integrated Development Foundation, Inc. (RAPID), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), RAPID, Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Economic Development (DEPDEV), PhilHealth, National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Commission on Population and Development (CPD), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
