Tuguegarao City — The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) and the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Office 2 (PSA RO2) convened today, January 21, 2026, to intensify efforts in registering Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
The meeting highlighted the importance of enhanced coordination between PSA and DSWD to ensure that no eligible household is left unregistered. PSA Regional Director Engr. Girme M. Bayucan pledged full support to achieve 100% registration as soon as possible, committing resources and technical assistance to meet the target.
This initiative is in line with the directive of Secretary Rex Gatchalian to ensure that all 4Ps beneficiaries are registered under PhilSys to enable easier access to government programs, social services, and other essential benefits.
DSWD FO2 Regional Director Lucia Suyu-Alan emphasized the need for synchronized planning and field deployment to reach all beneficiaries efficiently, particularly in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) where access is limited.
Key strategies identified include crossmatching data to identify unregistered and double-registered beneficiaries, strategic deployment of registration kits to areas with a high number of unregistered beneficiaries, school-based registration, home visitation for PWDs, bedridden, and special-case beneficiaries, and registration during Family Development Sessions.
RD Alan also stressed the importance of covering social pension beneficiaries and other DSWD clients to ensure comprehensive PhilSys registration.
Through this joint initiative, DSWD FO2 and PSA RO2 aim to provide full access to the National ID, empower marginalized communities, and strengthen the delivery of social welfare services across the region.
