ENRILE, Cagayan– The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02 (DSWD FO2), together with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Enrile, celebrated a major milestone as 312 beneficiaries graduated from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), including 10 who successfully earned their college degrees during the Pammadayaw na Paggradua na Pantawid Pamilya ceremonial graduation on May 26, 2026 at the Municipal Hall.
The ceremony underscored the program’s long-term goal of breaking the cycle of poverty through education and community support.
In a stirring keynote speech, Regional Director Lucia Alan Suyu, represented by Assistant Regional Director for Operations Franco Lopez, hailed the graduates for their resilience, declaring: “Hindi kayo naging pabigat sa lipunan. Hindi kayo sumuko sa kahirapan. At lalong hindi kayo nanatiling nakaasa lamang.”
The event not only recognized the successful completion of the 4Ps conditional cash transfer program but also celebrated the exceptional achievement of ten beneficiaries who have earned bachelor’s degrees, a proof of the program’s impact on empowering families through education.
Full support from the LGU was evident, with Mayor Miguel B. Decena, Vice Mayor Alex Iringan, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led by Erlinda Apostol present to ensure the event’s success.
Local officials reiterated their commitment to helping former 4Ps families transition sustain toward self-sufficiency, with post-graduation support initiatives already in the pipeline.
