TAGAYTAY CITY, Cavite – Representatives from the DSWD Field Office 2, through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) and the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), took part in the review and refinement of the DSWD–World Food Programme (WFP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Anticipatory Action and Emergency Response on July 13–15, 2026.
The three-day workshop led by the World Food Programme (WFP), brought together key stakeholders to review and improve the SOP, with emphasis on strengthening coordination among national, regional, and local partners.
Discussions also focused on enhancing the role of local government units during activation, improving communication with local authorities and beneficiaries, reviewing sensitization materials, strengthening the joint management of the Grievance Redress System (GRS), and identifying the next steps for implementation.
Through plenary discussions and breakout sessions, participants assessed the existing procedures, shared field experiences, and proposed enhancements to further improve anticipatory action and emergency response operations.
The activity reflects the continuing partnership between DSWD and WFP in strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring that timely and appropriate assistance reaches vulnerable families and communities.
