Five provinces, eighty nine municipalities and four cities in Cagayan Valley inked Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with DSWD FO 02 regarding the utilization of the latter’s Listahanan Database. This signifies that all the Local Government Units region-wide are already authorized data-users.
“The Local Government of Aparri enables to perform its mandate of delivering basic services to the least fortunate among its constituents thru the help of Listahanan database. Thank you DSWD,” Mayor Shalimar D. Tumaru, M.D. said.
Programs and services that made use of the database were those related to food for work, cash for work, self-employment assistance, provision of toilet facilities and pump wells, aid in crisis situations, emergency food assistance, disaster relief, supplementary feeding, day care service, educational assistance, special program for employment of students, special services for the elderly, special services for disabled and pre-marriage counselling, among others.
She also added that, “Listahanan Database is extremely useful to us and also with the line agencies in directing their projects and programs to qualified and deserving beneficiaries.”
The DSWD will continue to advocate the Listahanan database to increase its data-users to the other stakeholders.
Listahanan database is a comprehensive list of real poor households that can be used a reliable basis to identify beneficiaries for the social protection programs of the LGUs, National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Civil Society Organization (CSOs).### By: Ailyn P.
