DSWD FO2’s Listahanan-Talaan ng Pamilyang Nangangailangan or the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) intensifies its advocacy thru Interagency Information Officers’ Forum to be held sometime in January 2015 at Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
“Creating a pool of advocates is vital for us to promote our Listahanan Database to our stakeholders. We are constantly making ways to deliver social protection programs and services to the identified poor,” Dir. Remia T. Tapispisan, Regional Director, DSWD said.
Likewise, the forum aims for the participants to have a better understanding of the Listahanan database so that they will be an ally of DSWD in promoting the database to their respective agencies and to the general public.
Dir. Tapispisan also added that, “convergence of all National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, Civil Society Organization (CSOs) and other social protection stakeholders in helping the Listahanan identified poor is the key to address the different aspects of poverty in the region.”
The said forum will be participated in by partner data-users from the National Government Agencies such as PhilHealth, Department of Health (DOH), National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), among others.
Listahanan is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are. This database serves as a reliable basis of the LGUs, CSOs, and other stakeholders in choosing potential beneficiaries of social protection programs. .### By: AILYN P. AGLAUA, Admin. Assist. III-NHTSPR
