Joining other agencies and stakeholders, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 02,  inks a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Field Office 02 to ensure a socially-protective and safe Local Government Units (LGU)  in the region on June 3, 2016 during the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Team meeting.

A socially-protective and safe LGUs is a condition where LGUs are capable of addressing the well-being of all members of the community specifically the marginalized and vulnerable groups, and of ensuring livability in communities.

The convergence efforts of the development partners aim to assist the target LGUs in sustaining strengths and developing appropriate interventions for identified service delivery weaknesses pursuant to its new banner and strategy, “#R2GETHER or Region 2 Guarantees Every Task is Harmoniously Done with Excellent Result.”

The development partners also took part in the launching of the LISTONG Pamayanan and LISTONG Pamilyang Pilipino under OPERATION LISTO program of where Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries received disaster toolkits. ### By: Gela Flor R. Perez, Regional Information Officer II
