Tuguegarao City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02 (DSWD FO2) through the City Action Team (CAT) of Tuguegarao City with the Department of Health (DOH) conducted an advanced implementation on empowering Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries on health intervention in emergencies and disasters at Ugac Sur Gymnasium last March 5, 2020.

 

The one-day activity aimed to inform as well as equip 4Ps beneficiaries with skills and knowledge on health interventions during emergency or disaster operations through the topics on personal preparedness, pandemic planning, policy and partnership strengthening as well as public health response.

 

A pilot test of the supplemental module which will be part of the Family Development Session (FDS), 36 4Ps beneficiaries from brgys Ugac Sur and Ugac Norte, Tuguegarao City were identified to attend. Similar activities are scheduled to follow in the coming months.

It is noteworthy that 4Ps beneficiaries are required to attend monthly FDS as part of their health compliance to the program conditionalities.
