Tuguegarao City – In line with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) goals for speedy beneficiary registration and validation while providing efficient management of distribution, DSWD FO2 steered the Disaster Vulnerability Assessment and Profiling Project (DVAPP) Orientation last July 30, 2020, in coordination with the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Buguey, Camalaniugan and Sta. Ana Cagayan.

The DVAPP aims to create and organize database on the profile of families in all barangays of target municipalities, through the conduct of online registration; ensure a reliable and validated profile of families for proper assessment of appropriate social welfare interventions in times of disasters; conduct of Vulnerability Assessment in coordination with LGUs; and come up with a Comprehensive Project Assessment for possible project expansion and replication. It will also provide the DSWD Cares Card, a digitalize access card, to ease the provision of assistance especially the vulnerable families during disasters and towards early recovery.

Furthermore, the target LGUs for expansion of DVAPP have extended their commitment and support in the implementation of the said project. The said event was attended by Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) and Municipal Mayors of the target expansion areas.
