Tuguegarao City – The Regional Inter-Agency Council on Violence against Women and their Children (RIAC-VAWC) members pledge assistance to families with Covid-positive members during the virtual meeting held on September 23, 2020.

 

The Zonta Club of Central Tuguegarao (Zonta) handed 250 reusable face masks and 250 face shields while  Philippine Overseas Employment Administration- Region II (POEA-RO2), on the other hand, donated 200 disposable face masks on September 28,2020 at the DSWD Field Office II. Meanwhile, the Department committed to provide Family Food Packs and online/phone Psychosocial Processing and Psychological First Aid to the families which will be identified through the convergence with the Local Government Units (LGUs) of affected cities/municipalities.

 

The endeavor primarily emphasizes the importance of the Filipino value “bayanihan” during the onset of pandemic and aims to continuously respond to the emerging needs of the vulnerable and disadvantaged families in the entire region while observing the minimum health standards.
