TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02 (DSWD FO2), as vice-chair of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Trafficking (RIACAT), signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Partnership for Development Assistance in the Philippines (PDAP) on January 16, 2025, at the Department of Justice (DOJ) Regional Office 02.
The MOA formalizes the partnership between RIACAT, chaired by DOJ, and PDAP to enhance regional efforts in addressing trafficking in persons (TIP).
The collaboration also aims to develop advocacy campaigns and policies that will support TIP survivors and raise public awareness on the issue.
DSWD FO2, under the leadership of Regional Director Lucia Suyu-Alan, reaffirmed its commitment to assisting survivors by providing comprehensive care through its programs, services, and Residential Care Facilities.
The MOA signing ceremony was attended by representatives from DSWD FO2, DOJ Region 02, USAID Philippines, NBI, PIA, DOLE, DILG, PNP and PDAP.
