70 Beneficiaries in Quezon, Isabela, received food items from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02 (DSWD FO2) through the Walang Gutom Program during its Period 12 Food Redemption activity on January 9, 2025.
The initiative is part of President Bongbong Marcos’ advocacy of eradicating involuntary hunger in the country. This aims to combat hunger and support the nutritional needs of vulnerable communities, is being implemented across 28 target municipalities in Isabela.
DSWD Regional Director Lucia Suyu-Alan, along with Division Chief Imelda T. Decena, Municipal Administrator Officer Atty. Ryan Anthony Diampoc representing Municipal Mayor Hon. Jimmy S. Gamazon Jr., MSWDO Annie Perfecta and Walang Gutom Program RPMO staff led the event.
Director Alan expressed her gratitude to the local government and program implementers for their unwavering support. “We are dedicated to ensuring that no one goes hungry. Programs like Walang Gutom bring hope and resilience to our communities,” she said.
Meanwhile, beneficiaries conveyed their appreciation to the program implementers, stating that the assistance provides much-needed relief to their families, especially during challenging times.
The Walang Gutom Program continues to prioritize food security, ensuring that underprivileged families have access to basic necessities.
