ListahananThe National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) of DSWD Field Office II Provincial and Local Government Units (LGUs) as Listahanan datausers increase to 99% in the year 2014.

Out of 98 LGUs in Region II, 97 already have a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with DSWD for the utilization of Listahanan database.

Some of the programs and services that made use of the LISTAHANAN database were those related to food for work, cash for work, self-employment assistance, provision of toilet facilities and pump wells, aid in crisis situations, emergency food assistance, disaster relief, supplementary feeding, day care service, educational assistance, special program for employment of students, special services for the elderly, special services for disabled and pre-marriage counselling, among others.

Meanwhile, the Regional Household Targeting Unit (RHTU) is having a semestral Consultation Dialogue for the data-users to monitor the utilization of the said database. This significant event is also an opportunity for the data users to share their best practices or any related experiences thru the implementation of their social protection programs.

Also, this is an advocacy effort to pull more stakeholders to use the Listahanan database.

On the other hand, the RHTU is continuously advocating the database to the stakeholders such as other National Government Agencies (NGAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-government Organizations (NGOs).

Listahanan dabase is an information management system that identifies who and where the real poor are. This database can be a reliable basis in selecting potential beneficiaries for the social protection providers. ###By: Ailyn P. Aglaua, Admin. Assist. III, NHTS-PR
