With the aim to showcase accomplishments and good practices in the implementation of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, the Provincial Operations Offices of Cagayan (POO1), Isabela (POO2), Quirino (POO3) and Nueva Vizcaya (POO4) are all set for the Provincial Program Implementation Review (PIR) which will be held at Holiday Plaza Hotel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan next month.

Some of the components which will be looked into are the Beneficiary Update System (BUS), Compliance Verification System (CVS), Grievance Redress System (GRS) and other areas concerning the implementation of Pantawid Pamilya.

The program is being implemented in the four provinces (except Batanes) covering 83 municipalities and 4 cities with a total of 94, 120 household beneficiaries regionwide.

The Province of Isabela holds the most number of household beneficiaries with 44, 578; followed by the Province of Cagayan with 31, 094; Province of Nueva Vizcaya with 11, 793; and the province of Quirino with 6, 655 household beneficiaries.

All the Pantawid areas will be represented by the Municipal/City Links (M/Cls) and Social Welfare Assistants (SWAs) respectively.

The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a human development program of the national government that invests in the health and education of poor Filipino children aged a0-14 years old.

In exchange of cash grants, beneficiaries should comply with the conditions of the program which includes (1) pregnant women must avail pre and post natal care; (2) children aged 0-5 years old must receive regular preventive health check-ups and vaccines; (3) children aged 6-14 years old must receive deworming pills twice a year; (4) children aged 0-5 years old must be enrolled in preschool/daycare with at least 85% attendance rate; (5) children aged 6-14 years old must be enrolled in elementary and highschool with at least 85% attendance rate; and (6) parents must attend Family Development Sessions or FDS.###By MARICEL B.
