Listahanan FO2 (National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction or NHTS-PR) is the second highest in data sharing with local government units (LGUs) with rate of 81.63% among the 17 regions. This means that 80 out of 98 LGUs (4 cities, 89 municipalities and 5 provinces) have been shared with the list of poor households and other related data. This was revealed during the Project Review and Evaluation Workshop held recently.

The figure represents an increase of 18.63 percentage points from last year’s accomplishment.

Also, there are now 18 national government agencies (NGAs) and 8 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with approved Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

“We are so happy to know that the percentage of our data users had surged. This only shows that unyielding efforts in encouraging LGUs and other stakeholders to use our data base are not wasted.” Ms. Delia S. Sto. Tomas, Deputy Regional Project Manager said.

The Listahanan data-base contains names, addresses and other related data of the poor households such as the list of poor households by type of materials used for the roof and walls, by type of water source, by type of toilet, etc. It was used to identify beneficiaries of various social protection programs of LGUs such as food for work, pre-marriage counseling, provision of toilet bowls and pump wells, plywood, nails and galvanized iron sheets and a lot more.

The data base allows providers of the social protection programs like LGUs, NGAs and CSOs to identify their target beneficiaries and direct their resources to them.

“Im happy that our efforts to campaign for more data users have paid off. This inspires us to continue looking for partners who need our data as this is one of our best indicators of success.” Mr. Felipe P. Adarme, Regional Field Coordinator, said.

Listahanan is continuously making efforts to encourage more LGUs, NGAs andCSOs to enter into a MOA with DSWD and become part of the Listahanan data users.###Ailyn P. Aglaua, Administrative Assistant V (AAV)
