The Department of Social Welfare and Development are exerting all efforts to locate family beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program who left the Yolanda-devastated areas of Regions VI, VII and VIII and are now living in other nearby provinces for the continuous provision of cash grants.

Beneficiaries who transferred residence to other regions including here in Region 02 are advised to coordinate with the Municipal or City Link of the area where they are currently residing so that their household profiles will be validated and updated. The household profile will be needed in the processing of the cash grants.

Some of the documents that need to be presented include the beneficiary’s Pantawid Pamilya identification (ID) card, cash card, or DSWD Oath of Commitment. Beneficiaries who are unable to present the mentioned documents will be validated at the database of the Central Office or the originating region.

Relative to this, all the M/CLs here in the region are also directed to identify whether the transfer is temporary or permanent. If the transfer is temporary, the beneficiary will be asked about their plans of returning to their original address and will be informed about the consequences of staying longer without processing the change address. But if the transfer is permanent, the M/CL will immediately process the transfer of address following the current procedures in change address.

Pantawid Pamilya is a human development program of the national government that invests in the health and education of poor Filipino children aged 0-14 years old. In exchange of cash grants, beneficiaries should comply with the health and education conditions set forth by the program and attendance to Family Development Sessions.

There are around 3.94 million families and 8.92 million children who benefit from the program nationwide. ###By MARICEL B. ASEJO, Pantawid Information Officer II
