The National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) or also now known as Listahanan of DSWD will once again conduct the household assessment this second-third quarter of 2014.

In Cagayan Valley, Listahanan will assess 622, 659 households.

“We are very grateful that we will now update our database. It only means that we will once again know who and where the real poor are in Region II.” Delia S. Sto. Tomas, Deputy Project Manager of Listahanan shared.

Listahanan helps the National Government Agencies (NGAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other stakeholders to direct their limited resources to the real and deserving beneficiaries.

“With this, we can assure that the social protection providers are hitting the right target of families who really need their help.” Sto. Tomas, stressed.

On the other hand, Sto. Tomas also added “For the past months, we are rigidly busy in screening our field staff. We would like to ensure that we will be getting the best staff for this momentous undertaking.”

There are 1,297, enumerators, 259, Area Supervisors, and 52 Area Coordinators that will be hired in the conduct of the second round of household assessment.

The Family Assessment Form (FAF), a 4-page questionnaire with 46 variables will be utilized in gathering information from the respondents.
