Department of Social Welfare Field Office II (DSWD FO2)-thru the Listahanan spearheads special validation of 6,442 senior citizens for the Social Pension program this second quarter of 2014.

In addition, the special assessment will update the database ensuring that the social pensioner recipients are really deserving beneficiaries for the said program.

Meanwhile, there are 27 enumerators, 6 area supervisors and 5 encoders that will be hired. The validation will run for 15 working days.

There will be training for the field staff for them to be knowledgeable enough to execute the assessment per to their development in the area. Also, orientation of the Local Government Units (LGUs) will be conducted.

Field Staff will be given a masterlist as their guide in conducting the special validation. Family Assessment Forms (FAFs) will be utilized on the said undertaking.

Enumerators will stipulate stickers to all households being assessed as a signed that they were covered during the special validation.

“The Listahanan and Protective Services Unit thru Social Pension staff are working and closely coordinating for the said significant event. We are also collaborating with the Local Government Units (LGUs) and even in the level of Barangays to guarantee the success of the undertaking.” Delia S. Sto. Tomas, Listahanan-Deputy Regional Project Manager, said.

“We are hoping that the inclusion errors among beneficiaries from Social Pension Program will be cleared thru Listahanan” Sto. Tomas added

Listahanan will provide disaggregated data of the members of poor households who are 60 years old and above and their complete contact details to the Social Pension program.
