“In Cagayan State University (CSU), we have lots of extension activities but before we execute such programs, we still need to do profiling of the prospect clientele/beneficiary that will serve as benchmark of our designs. Now with the Listahanan database given to us by DSWD, we find it easier to implement these outreach programs. Also, we don’t need to do surveys anymore because the information in the database is already complete and detailed. It has all the data that we need.”

This is the testimony shared by Mr. Johny P. Alvarez, the Outreach Coordinator of Cagayan State University (CSU) during the recently held Consultation Dialogue at Valley Hotel Tuguegarao City.

The undertaking aimed that all data users and non-data users will fully understand and appreciate the importance of the database and their feedback report. Also, this strengthened the camaraderie of LISTAHANAN and its partners.

CSU is one of the users of the Listahanan data in the region. In his message, Mr. Alvarez also cited that the other departments in their university makes use of the database such as the College of Agriculture, College of Criminology Information Technologiy and Teacher Education utilize the database.

Moreover, Ms. Marivic T. Viesta, MSWDO of LGU Sta. Teresita, Cagayan shared that they continuously use the Listahanan database as their basis in identifying the beneficiaries for their out-of-the-box programs such as “Bahay Mo, Patitibayin Ko”, and “Bawat Bahay May Kubeta”. They also utilize the data for their infrastructure and agriculture Cash for Work Programs.

“I would like to extend my gratitude in the NHTS-PR for conducting an event like this, I am so inspired with the testimonies of other the data users. With this, I was able to realize how effective and helpful this project is.”, Ms. Francesca Belvis LGU Sanchez Mira said.
