CAGAYAN VALLEY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) continues to expand its support to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in coastal and island areas of the region through the Enhanced Support Services Intervention (ESSI).

From the island municipality of Calayan in Cagayan to the remote, mountainous borders of Divilacan and Dinapigue in Isabela, the agency has provided assistance to 105 4Ps beneficiaries.

Also in Fuga Island, seven (7) beneficiaries were granted house rental subsidies through the Alternate Family Home initiative to aid them in complying with the program’s conditions.

The support given includes eco-cultural livelihood assistance and income generating projects like hog/swine raising and fattening, sari-sari store businesses, as well as starter kits to help beneficiaries build sustainable sources of income.
