TUGUEGARAO CITY — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office II, through its Regional Program Management Office (RPMO), held a series of exploratory meetings with potential Civil Society Organization (CSO) partners to strengthen the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
The initiative aims to build volunteer-based partnerships with academic institutions and non-government organizations to enhance support for 4Ps beneficiaries.
Discussions focused on the role of CSOs in four engagement areas—Bantay (Watchdog), Gabay (Mentor), Kaagapay (Co-implementer), and Tulay (Link)—as well as the formalization of partnerships through a non-financial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), specifying coverage and duration. The meetings also explored possible areas of collaboration based on the latest Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI) data.
Institutions visited included the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao, Cagayan State University–Andrews and Carig campuses, and Philippine Normal University–North Luzon. Representatives expressed openness to support 4Ps through their extension and advocacy programs.
