To reinforce collaborative efforts in implementing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office II (DSWD FO2) convened at least 17 Civil Society Organization (CSO) partners during its 1st Semester Consultation Meeting on June 18, 2025 at Pulsar Hotel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The meeting served as a vital platform to share program accomplishments and engage partners in addressing key issues, particularly the gaps identified through the Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI) and the growing concern over Children and Youth Not Attending School (CYNAS), wherein the active support of CSOs remains critical.
A highlight of the meeting was the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with new CSO partner I-SAVED (Saving Vulnerable, Education & Dreams)—a community-led education and humanitarian organization that provides free tuition, school supplies, health kits, and sustainable learning support, including outreach programs for indigenous communities and adopted schools in Cagayan.
Dr. John Mauro Manuel, founder of the said organization, expressed his enthusiasm in collaborating with the agency and the 4Ps program, which once served as his family’s lifeline.
“I myself was a product of the program. Nasa puso naming pamilya ang tumulong sa mga batang walang wala, gaya po namin noon. Kaya we hope that through your partnership with I-SAVED ay marami pang 4Ps na kabataan ang matutulungan,” said Manuel.
Other CSO partners also shared their accomplishments and milestones, showcasing their initiatives in education, livelihood, and community support, while reaffirming their strong commitment to advancing the goals of the program.
