To nourish leadership and promote active community involvement, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office (DSWD Field Office 2) through its Municipal Action Team of Alicia, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU), conducted a capacity-building training for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Parent Leaders on June 11, 2025 at Graystone Manor, Burgos, Alicia, Isabela.

The activity funded and supported by the LGU aimed to equip communication and organizational skills of 4Ps Parent Leaders in the municipality.

The full-day event featured a range of discussions focused on raising awareness and mobilizing participants’ capacities such as on leadership development, financial literacy, and decision-making.

These sessions were facilitated by experienced trainers who provided practical and actionable guidance. Participants also took part in team building activities aimed to increase cooperation, camaraderie, and collective action.

Among those present were Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Ms. Vilma V. Gaffud, who commended the dedication of the Parent Leaders; Provincial Link Ms. Marisa K. Tongdo, who emphasized the value of capable leadership in the success of the 4Ps program; and representatives from CSO partner Planet Green, who contributed to the activity through collaborative support and shared advocacy.
