TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – In an effort to strengthen the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) conducted the First Semester Consultative Meeting with the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on July 7, 2023.

The meeting served as avenue for providing program updates, presenting accomplishments, and addressing concerns, with the goal of improving the program’s efficiency and effectiveness.

In her speech, Regional Director Lucia Alan thanked the partners for their commitment in the implementation of 4Ps.

“DSWD FO2 is blessed to have you, our partners, who continue not only to support the program, but in making sure that we make a difference in the lives of our beneficiaries. The convergence of our efforts create an impact that transforms the well-being of our dear 4Ps,” she addressed.

During the meeting, Dir Alan also led the oathtaking of Regional Independent Monitoring Committee members and partook in the signing of the memorandum of agreement with the National Chaplains of the Philippines, Inc., forging a new partnership.

Section 19 of 4Ps law emphasizes the importance of convergence among different national and local government agencies, as well as CSOs, in implementing pro-poor programs and services that complement the Pantawid Pamilya implementation.
