Nueva Vizcaya – To aid in the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) inked partnership with Tam-an Banaue Multipurpose Cooperative on February 15, 2024 at Tam-an Mt. Resort & Hotel, Busilac, Bayombong.

Through the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement attended by Regional Director Lucia Alan and Nueva Vizcaya Chief Executive Officer Jose B. Tomas Jr., J.D., Tam-an BMPC commits to various partnership initiatives with the agency, aligned with 4Ps’ goal of uplifting the quality of life for its beneficiaries in Nueva Vizcaya.

As a “Kaagapay” or co-implementer, the cooperative will provide essential resources such as school supplies, food packs, medicines, legal consultations, and other donations. Additionally, Tam-an BMPC will offer technical assistance on skills training and employment facilitation.

Moreover, as a “Gabay” or Mentor, the cooperative will provide valuable guidance on Family Development Session (FDS) topics, particularly focusing on Financial Literacy and Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES).

RD Alan said that, “this collaboration underscores the shared commitment of the agency and Tam-an BMPC to work together towards improving the welfare of vulnerable families and breaking the cycle of poverty in the region.”

Looking ahead, DSWD FO2 eagerly anticipates fostering more partnerships with Civil Society Organizations, recognizing them as integral stakeholders in advancing the welfare of 4Ps beneficiaries.
