Nueva Vizcaya – To aid in the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) inked partnership with Tam-an Banaue Multipurpose Cooperative on February 15, 2024 at Tam-an Mt. Through the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement attended by Regional Director Lucia Alan and Nueva Vizcaya Chief Executive Officer Jose B. As a “Kaagapay” or co-implementer, the cooperative will provide essential resources such as school supplies, food packs, medicines, legal consultations, and other donations. Additionally, Tam-an BMPC will offer technical assistance on skills training and employment facilitation.

Moreover, as a “Gabay” or Mentor, the cooperative will provide valuable guidance on Family Development Session (FDS) topics, particularly focusing on Financial Literacy and Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES).

RD Alan said that, “this collaboration underscores the shared commitment of the agency and Tam-an BMPC to work together towards improving the welfare of vulnerable families and breaking the cycle of poverty in the region.”

Tam-an Banaue Multipurpose Cooperative, established in 1991 and serving over 200,000 members across various provinces, empowers individuals and communiti
