Nueva Vizcaya – About twenty-four (24) exited beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Progran (4Ps) received assistance from the Local Government Unit of Quezon amounting to Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P500,000).

Forming an association named Pioneer Angat Buhay Association, these beneficiaries, who officially graduated from the program on March 22, 2024 are poised to utilize the assistance to embark on entrepreneurial ventures, aiming to achieve sustainable livelihoods as they transition out of the program.

This project was advocated by the Mayor Dolores Binwag herself who asserted that the LGU remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering economic independence and empowerment among its constituents, especially 4Ps beneficiaries.

To formalize the provision of assistance, a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Agreement between the LGU and the association took place.

Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 Regional Director Lucia Alan witness the said event and expressed her appreciation to the LGU for spearheading this groundbreaking initiative.

In her message, she said that this event signifies a significant milestone, being the first of its kind provided by the LGU to its exiting 4Ps beneficiaries, and that it underscores the shared commitment of the agency and the LGU to ensuring that the program goals and objectives were met.

Under the guidance of the Public Employment Service Office, the assistance will encompass a retailing of rice project. Moreover, members of the association will undergo seminars and training sessions to equip them with the necessary skills to manage their association and business effectively.
