Supplemental Feeding Serves Pantawid Pamilya Pre-Schoolers
The Supplementary Feeding Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development served its purpose to all Day Care Children enrolled in the different Day Care Centers in the region, to improve malnutrition problems and promote healthy and nutritious meals for pre-school children.
The Department has recorded 19,438 Day Care Children enrolled in the different Day Care Centers in the Region of which the Supplementary Feeding has served until the last quarter of 2011. Out of this number, 4,945 are Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries who are from sets 1-4 areas.
